Bug Out Event 2025: Sizzlipede’s Exciting Pokémon GO Debut

The highly anticipated Bug Out event is back in Pokémon GO, and this year it brings the thrilling Sizzlipede Pokémon GO debut from Wednesday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Here’s what you need to know to make the most of this exciting event.

Event Overview

The Bug Out event 2025 is a special celebration focused on Bug-type Pokémon, and it marks the debut of the Fire and Bug-type Pokémon, Sizzlipede. This event promises a fun-filled experience with various bonuses, new Pokémon, and engaging activities.

Event Bonuses

During the Bug Out event, you can enjoy several bonuses to enhance your Pokémon GO experience:

• Earn 2× XP for successful catches made with Nice Throws or better.
• Receive extra Candy for Nice Throws or better.
• Increased chance of earning Candy XL for Nice Throws or better, available for trainers level 31 and above.
• Use Lure Modules to attract Sizzlipede during the event.
• Increased chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
• Catch enough Pokémon with a single Lure Module to spawn additional Pokémon near the lured PokéStop.

Pokémon Debuts

This event is highlighted by the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. To evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch, you will need 50 Sizzlipede Candy. This is a great opportunity to add these new Pokémon to your collection.

Wild Encounters

Keep an eye out for an enhanced selection of Bug-type Pokémon appearing in the wild during the event:

Field Research Task Rewards

Engage in event-themed Field Research tasks to earn rewards such as Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with Pokémon featured in the event. These tasks will help you progress and earn valuable resources.

Timed Research

A free Timed Research opportunity will be available, offering fantastic rewards:

• One Lure Module
• Encounters with event-themed Pokémon such as Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and others!

Note: Timed Research tasks must be completed and rewards claimed by Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.

Paid Timed Research

Access exclusive event-themed Timed Research for US$2.00 (or the local equivalent). The rewards include:

• One Lure Module
• Two Premium Battle Passes
• Encounters with event Pokémon, including Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor!

Trainers can also purchase tickets for friends who have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Remember that all ticket purchases are non-refundable.
